Yakima Full Swing Bike Rack

One minute video: Adding a bike rack

We figured it was fine locking our Dutch touring bikes to an outside rack, but wanted one that allowed us to open the back doors with them still mounted.

The Yakima Full Swing rack works great! Inserted into the trailer hitch, it carries up to four bikes by their crossbars. Katie's 'girls' bike requires an adapter. With the turn of a nob and the pull of a pin, the bottom bar pivots 180 degrees and the bikes pivot 90 degrees to swing out of the way.

The door opens about 90 degrees and we tie it off to the bike rack so it doesn't accidentally swing closed.
